Privacy Policy

Effective October 6, 2026

In short: Swei AI is a free AI assistant. To answer you, the text, files and pictures you send are passed to AI services (mainly Google Gemini). Your chats are saved in your browser, and in our cloud database if you have an account. We do not sell your data, show ads or use tracking cookies.

What we collect and why

Your account: name, email address, and a password (stored only as a secure hash by our login provider). If you sign in with Google: your name, email and profile picture from Google.	To sign you in and keep your chats with your account.	Supabase (our login and database provider).
Your chats, projects, stories, dreams, mood diary, reports, code and settings.	So you can see them again and use them on your other devices.	Your browser. With an account, also our Supabase database, where only your account can read them.
What you send to create an answer: messages, attached files and pictures, and prompts for images and video.	To create the answer, picture or video.	Sent to the AI services listed below. Not kept by Swei AI apart from your saved chats.
Chats you choose to share.	To show the chat to anyone who has the link.	Our Cloudflare storage, until you delete the link.
Error reports: the error message, file, line, page path and browser name.	To find and fix bugs. Never chat text, prompts or account details.	Cloudflare, deleted after 14 days.
Your IP address and a human-check result.	To stop abuse and bots and to apply fair-use limits.	Processed by Cloudflare (including Cloudflare Turnstile). Not stored by us.
Anonymous visit statistics (pages viewed, country, browser).	To understand how the site is used.	Cloudflare Web Analytics. It does not use cookies or fingerprinting.

AI services that receive your content

Google Gemini creates most answers. Swei AI uses Google's free API tier. Under Google's terms for that tier, Google may use the content to improve its products, and human reviewers may read it. So please do not enter passwords, ID numbers, bank details or other secrets.
Pollinations answers when Gemini is busy, and can create pictures.
Cloudflare Workers AI creates most pictures.
Hugging Face (LTX-Video) creates short videos.
Live lookups: when Swei AI checks the news, weather, money rates or Wikipedia, only the search words are sent to those sources (Bing News, GDELT, Google News, Open-Meteo, open.er-api.com, Wikipedia).

Microphone and camera

Voice input uses your browser's speech recognition. In Chrome and Edge, your browser sends the audio to Google or Microsoft to turn it into text. Swei AI receives only the text.
Mood Studio's face reading runs entirely on your device. The camera image is never uploaded or saved.

Security

All connections use HTTPS. With a browser-only account, your saved data is encrypted on your device with a key made from your password. Data in our cloud database is protected by access rules so that only your account can read it, and it is encrypted at rest by our provider. It is not end-to-end encrypted, so do not store secrets in your chats.

Your choices and rights

You can use Swei AI as a guest, without an account. Guest data stays in your browser.
You can delete any chat, or all of them, in the app. Deleting a chat also deletes it from our database.
You can delete your account in Settings, or ask us to delete it, together with everything saved with it.
You can ask for a copy of your data, or for corrections, by writing to the email above. We answer within 30 days.
Temporary chats are not saved and do not use memory.

Children

Swei AI is not meant for children under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, write to us and we will delete it.

Cookies and storage

Swei AI uses your browser's local storage to keep your chats, settings and sign-in. It uses no advertising or tracking cookies.

If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page.
